Advisory groups|

Do-it has established a number of different advisory and user groups to help us develop the overall strategy for the National Volunteering Database and ensure that our products and services continually meet partner needs. There are currently three main groups:

  • National Volunteering Database Advisory Group
  • V-Base Development Advisory Group
  • Youth Advisory Group

The terms of reference for each group can be downloaded below which will provide some insight into the role and scope of the groups.

We will be reviewing our existing and potential advisory and user groups in 2009.

NVD (National Volunteering Database) Advisory Group

YouthNet aims to utilise the vast potential of new and emerging technologies to make information on the NVD as widely accessible to the general public as possible.

In order for us to achieve this, YouthNet requires the support of representatives from the volunteer involving sector, media and government and has established a national Advisory Group for this purpose.

VDAG (V Base Development Advisory Group)

V Base is YouthNet's Volunteering and Contact Management Software, which allows users to post and manage their opportunities directly onto the Do-it website. The V Base Development Advisory Group ensures that planned redevelopment of the software meets the needs of stakeholder groups and is accountable to them.

MAP (Member Advisory Panel)

The Member Advisory Panel in an online group that has been establised so that YouthNet's partners can feed in the development of, and identify how the interact with, the NVD, V-Base, V-Base Recruiter and Do-it .

YAG (Youth Advisory Group)

The Youth Advisory Group has been established to assist in the overall development of the National Volunteering Database and specifically in the aim of looking into how to best involve, recruit and manage young volunteers.
