Are you 16 - 25 years old? Are you interested in volunteering for the voluntary sector? Working from your pc or laptop, you will access volunteering opportunities submitted by our partners and edit them for accuracy.

If you have extraordinary attention to detail, then why not gain experience in proofreading and writing? Do-it, home of the National Volunteering Database, has over 80,000 volunteering opportunities and is looking for young people interested in proofreading and quality control. As a proofreader, your role will involve spell checking, and editing the opportunities posted on do-it.org.uk to make sure they are accessible, clear and engaging to attract more volunteers aged 16-25 years old.


This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in letters and language, this is your chance to use your English language skills and help us spread the word about volunteering among young people!

Please note that there will be a training day on 26th June for this role.

The organisation

YouthNet aims to create a socially inclusive environment where young people living in the UK are engaged, informed and inspired to achieve their ambitions and dreams. We deliver high-quality information, signposting and frontline emotional support primarily through the internet, but increasingly through mobile phones, digital interactive TV and hand-held devices - the tools that are central to the way young people communicate. We do this through our two award-winning websites: TheSite.org, which provides support and guidance to 16-24 year olds; and do-it.org.uk, which links users to volunteering opportunities through the National Volunteering Database.

Skills/Qualifications

We are looking for 16-25 year olds with a keen interest in volunteering and the voluntary sector.

You must have high standards of English, an eye for detail, and be comfortable in using MS Word and the Internet.
