Rent Arrears, bad tenant

Hi

I've rented my flat out since 1995 through an agent and last year I got fed up with the problems entailed and decided to do it myself, how difficult could it be?? (!!!)

I now have a tenant that hasn't paid his rent properly since he moved in. Refuses to sign a tenancy agreement and is currently two months in arrears of rent. He started renting on 8 Apr 01 so I gave him two months notice on 8 Apr 02.

I do intend to call the solicitor tomorrow to find out what to do next but if anyone has any advice on what the procedure now is if he refuses to go on 8th June and/or how to set up an attachment of earnings I'd appreciate it.

Many thanks Angela Whitworth
