Dear Tom,

I have recently started a small business offering property management for the owners of holiday homes (coincidentally in Scotland, Aberdeenshire to be precise). I started the busines because a lot of people buy holiday homes in this area and many would like to reap the benefits of letting the holiday home on a commercial self-catering basis. this, of course, is vbery time consuming and the owner also has to organise the cleaning and secutiry of the property, usually from long distance.

My company's services include the sales & marketing of the self-catering side of the holiday home as well as taking care of the cleaning, maintenance and security.

Buying a holiday home can be a wonderful investment as long as the home is marketed properly. The reassurance that the home is being looked after is, of course, very necessary so find someone you can trust. This is not easy if you are buying in an unfamiliar area so be careful.
