Selling with tenants

I have my three properties up for sale and have recently had a fair bit of interest. I live in one of the properties and I have tenants in a second one. The third one is a holiday let. When I show my prospective buyers around, I sometimes have trouble from my tenants.

To start with, the tenants showed the potential buyers around themselves but, from a query about a non-existent fault, I realised that my tenants were trying to put people off. Since then i have always insisted on showing people around myself. When I knock at the door the tenants often say it is not convenient. The latest reasons have been that the female tenant was about to go in the shower and another time I was told that their daughter was in bed.

They have now written me a letter, stating that they would like 24 hours notice before I call round with anyone and that I should only show people round between 10am and 5pm. Are they aloowed to insist on these conditions? Can anyone help?
