Reclaiming possession

I served a section 21 notice on my tenants, giving two months notice as required. They did not however move out at the end of the period, but stayed on a further five days in to the following month, without my agreement. The tenant has offered to pay five days rent pro rata, but as the agreement was monthly, do I have the right to charge them another month's rent?
