I own a residential property worth around £20,000. I currently rent the property for 180pcm. I am looking to put a mortgage on the property of about £15,000 but so far have had no luck because the property is below the ‘minimum value’ to qualify for a buy-to-let type mortgage. Does anybody have any idea how I can go about financing such a property, preferably with a mortgage?
