Prospective tenant with 20 yr old daughter

I'm hoping to rent for 6 mths with my 20 yr old daughter but am concerned about her being named on the tenancy agreement. I understand the concerns of the landlord should something happen to me, but if my daughter is named, wouldn't she become liable for the rent which she couldn't afford. Is ther a way to protect both?
