We live outside the UK and have left two units with one agent.Three weeks ago the agent said by email that the tenant who is on an expired lease has not paid the rent. We thought that we had a full agreement under which the agent would evict the tenant. We have contacted a solicitor but nothing seems to have been done either by the agent or solicitor. As we are overseas it is difficult for me to know what to do.If I have to evict the tenant myself what do I have to do?I understand that I have togive two months notice even if the lease is expired and no rent paid.I would appreciate some advice because there will not be enough bond to cover the arears.
