Problem tenants

I have a property in Scotland. My tenants have in general, been good, but I am still trying to recover unpaid rent from a tenant who vacated in October 2000! Together with interest, she now owes me over 1,000. I took her to court and was successful in obtaining an action against her but she has still not paid a penny. I am considering the next step as I know where she lives now but must ensure she has a job or possessions at least before I do anything.

Has anyone else been this far in an attempt to recover money before? I am exasperated at the amount of protection given to debtors, and the lack of help given to creditors.

Any help/comments appreciated.
