Councils really do annoy me - they play the lettings game so much to their advantage - if they have told her to wait until you get a possession order they are just trying to use you! Speak to our solicitors (link at the top) and they will advise you which way to go - tread varefully though as everything needs to be done by the letter of the law - one mistake and the council will pick up on it. Which council is it by the way - I would like to give them a ring and see what game they are playing at and why - no names will be mentioned.
