ppty in Newcastle in a street generally owner occupied but 40% let and or private landlords. After initoial re-furb for daughter - house burgled. It turns out that the tenants of 4 houses opposite well kown to the Police "Burglaring bastards" - say the Police. They are VERY loud, abusive constantly fighting amongst themselves Fing and Blinding at all hours. Police called regularly but locals scared. It seems that the Council is impotent to act against these tenants because they have no jurisdiction where Private Landlord is concerned - maybe this is another campaign for you - get rid of the lousy landlords to give everyone a respectable chance of not only making a fair penny but also allowing tenants a reasonable life.
