The tenants have the right to be in residence for a minimum of 6 months - you can give notice to quit to coincide with the end of the six month term. Much will depend on the time left on the contract. in all honesty I would give them a call and confirm the meeting with them - once they say yes everything is going ahead as planned you should let yourself relax a little. If you detect a problem it will be very hard to deal with it until we know exxactly what the problem is - the tenants are not yet in arrears so we can not go down that route - the tenants have the right to remain for a minimum period of six months so dependent upon the time left will depend upon how much rent they may owe etc. There is always the possibility of the tenants making life very difficult for landlords but it does appear that your tenants know they are in financial difficulty and are doing their best not to penalise you with their problems. If there is a problem e-mail me at admin@do-it.org.uk and I will give you my telephone number so thatw e can talk through it and see what the best recourse of action is.
